Oh, how our crazy little redhead has changed!  He's turning into such a big boy.  He LOVES to play with Lego Guys, especially Star Wars and Ninjago.  If he's not playing with Lego guys, he's picking on his little sister like a good big brother haha!  Never a dull, or quiet, moment in our house because of him!  Love you, Victor!

Have you started a money makeover? What are you planning on paying CASH for? What bill are you paying off? Share a bit of your story! No story is too small to share! Real life stories keep Carrie motivated. Catch up on Our Story to see how far we’ve come.

Emergency Fund - $1000 – Stocked

House Fund – Goal $30,000.00 by 3/31/2013. This will cover the down payment, closing costs, as well as “sprucing up” the home to make it our own – aka, new furniture, paint, bedding, fencing for the backyard, swing set, etc. It will also be used to fix up our side of the duplex we are living in so it is ready for new renters. The house we are fighting to buy - we don't need near this amount right off the bat! The amount below is more than what we need! The rest saved from here on out is for repairs, new carpeting, paint and appliances.

  • Deposited $7.37 in spare change
  • Deposited $25.78 from UPromise
  • Deposited $0 in leftover income :(  Too many days off with sick kids :(
  • Deposited $8 from a refund
  • Deposited $100 in gift money
  • Currently Saved $8429.24

The following are the other loans we currently have, but will put them on the back burner as we save for a house bigger than a 2-bedroom for our family of SIX! We plan on keeping the duplex we currently own, and renting out the side we currently live in, thus earning more money each month that will pay these off for us :D

Hubby’s Student Loan as of 10/01/2011 $9395
  • Outstanding Balance is $8,658.31
My Student Loan as of 10/01/2011 $6480
  • Outstanding Balance is $5,937.74
Family Loan $3000 – I was told to keep this and put this towards a new house, since the person doesn’t need this money right now. Bonus :D

Victor-ism

V - Mom, What's your "best name"?
M - ??? Um, Carrie?
V - Oh, mine's Roger.
M - Oh, you mean what's Mommy's nickname? Mine's Carebear.
V - No, Carebears have hearts.
M - Wow...lol Ouch. (PS, I know he's talking about the Carebear with hearts on it's belly, and I don't have hearts on my belly so I can't be a Carebear, but...Ouch!)

Trying to get a "Nice" picture of all the kiddos...

I actually really like this hugging picture.  Dirk is already at an age where he doesn't like to cooperate for pictures, he tends to close his eyes or look away on purpose.

I love this one!  haha!

I can always get my kids to "cooperate" for a goofy pose!

LOVE this one!
All smiling!
AND looking at the camera!

Oh, Victor...
