A Pic (or four) of Vic!

Well, Victor didn't really cooperate too much. But after I finally found my camera after it was MIA for a few days, I figured there were a few of you on here that would like to see the little guy. He's doing well, still a little peanut, but fitting snugly into size 3-6 month clothes. Time to dig out the 6-9 month ones!

I don't know why, but I love when babies first start to cry - that face - the pouting. So cute! :o)

Happy Birthday, Evie!

Happy Birthday, Eve! She turned 3 today! Actually, we've been talking about this day for about a week now. I asked her the other day what happens on her birthday (just to see what she'd say). She told me that when she turns three on her birthday, then she's a big girl like Mommy. And she'd be able to get her own food out of the cupboard (not allowed in our house since they make messes!) and she won't cry any more. I'm like - ALRIGHT! So this morning we wake up and she refuses to acknowledge it's her birthday - she kept saying "later." I guess technically she wasn't born until 5:12pm, so we went with that. I got a coupon for free ice cream from Cold Stone for her birthday, so I took her there to get her "pink ice cream" while Dad and Dirk made her cupcakes and chocolate muffins. Weird combo I know, but her favorites! When we got back, she opened up her presents and was so excited! A friend of mine gave us a little doll house that her kids no longer play with and we had Derrick give that to Eve (they don't know it wasn't bought and it's one more present, right?!) and she was so excited! It's the perfect size for her baby ponies. They played with that for hours. She also opened up 1150 princess stickers (they are EVERYWHERE!) and 2 sets of colored pencils. That also kept them occupied until bedtime. I didn't get many pics since I couldn't remember where I put my camera until right before bedtime :o( But here is one with Eve in front of her "new" pony house, with her newest pony, Wysteria - the pony bride - which she also got today. She now has over 20 My Little Ponies!

Not to take away from Evie's big day, but Victor is one month old today! Stay tuned for pics tomorrow.

Princess Evie - and 4 Weeks Old!

The other day Ryan asked Evie what her name was. She replied, "Princess Evie." Oh boy.

Victor is 4 weeks old today! Two days ago he started to coo. I didn't think anything of it, but he cooed twice yesterday, and started to again today. I love it when they start new phases! Especially in the beginning - makes me think he's not just a screaming, pooping and sleeping body :o)

Wide Awake

Here's a few pics of Victor. He hasn't been awake a lot the last few days, but today he decided we weren't so boring I guess! He slept for 5 hours straight last night! Not the first time, but the first time it has happened when I could sleep for those 5 hours! Still was very tired when I woke up, but hey, it's a start!

My two favorite boys in the whole world! Dirk still absolutely adores little Victor and loves to hold him.

Daddy and Boy

3 Weeks Old!

Here he is - 3 weeks old today! Top pics - wearing 6 month clothes already. His eyes are starting to change a little - getting a little bit lighter. We see a bit of green and blue in them, so we'll see over the next few weeks what color they become (probably brown, since we see no brown in them at all).

I'm doing fairly well. Very tired. Kids are completely psychotic. We NEED to get outside. This is driving me nuts and well as them! I'm hoping to get my first nap in this afternoon in a while. Hopefully that will help. My sides have hurt more, so I've caved and taken some more ibuprofen. Otherwise, all is good here! Just hoping the weather cooperates today so we can get the dog (and kids!) to the dog park to run around.

2 Week Checkups

Both Victor and I had our two week checkups today. My BP is still a little high, but she didn't seem to worried. I'll have to search out some relaxation techniques and what vitamins help out to lower it so by my 6 week checkup, I'll be perfect again :o) And I'm only 9 pounds over my pre-Victor weight, so I'm happy with that!

Victor is still just a little peanut - I'm so not used to this! He's now 8# 8oz. I asked if that was healthy, and the doc said definitely. I'm just not used to my kids not gaining 1# during this time! He eats well and sleeps a lot. Doc said he's perfect, which I won't disagree with! His head has grown 3/4 inch, so at least part of him is growing!

Baptism

Yay! Victor's baptism was today - here's a pic of his cake - Thanks G! The kids kept telling me over the phone how they made a cake with G for Victor. Evie really wanted to have a pony cake tho :o) We'll have to wait for her birthday for that one. Mom and Dad had to get going after the service, so in honor of Dad, I made sure to take a bite out of the cake, just for him ;o) I'll get pics of Victor all dressed up, but that will have to wait - they are on Mom's camera - oops!

All tuckered out from a long day.

Auntie Marcie started making these name plates a LONG time ago, but never finished them. So today, G did! I can't wait until Ryan has the bunk beds built and we can get their room all set and figure out where to hang these!

Victor is not a happy camper when he is in this suit. He can't get his hands to his head, and he can't curl his legs up. This is probably the only time he fusses.

One Week Old!

Victor is a week old already. I grabbed a few pics while he was awake tonight, and thought I'd share them. He still is a very good baby. Hardly cries. Fusses a little when he's hungry, but that's about it. He's my little cuddle bear. He scrunches up into a little ball and snuggles :o)

Dirk and Eve are spending the week with G and Papa. This morning Mom told Eve that she changed her mind and was going to take Victor home and leave Derrick and Eve with us. Evie thru a fit! She really wanted to go :o) And was all happy when G said that she could go with her and Victor would stay with me.

Happy New Year!

What a way to ring in the new year! I had the cutest and most kissable date last night ;o)

Well, my heart has been skipping beats a little too frequently if you ask me the last few days. So we'll see if I go home today, or if I stay one more day. Doc isn't overly alarmed, but we'll see what the rest of the day brings. Otherwise I feel great!

Victor is such a sweet baby. He's very content, as long as you don't let him get cold. So changing diapers is a no-no :o) He was circumcised this morning and he's doing just fine. The nurse changed his first post-circ diaper to make sure I knew what to look for and how to keep him from getting infections, etc. She said to make sure he has a wet diaper between now and tomorrow morning, and if not, that's when I'd need to call the hospital to have him checked out. As she was going to close up his diaper, he peed all over his bassinet, then pooped out a super poop all over the other half of the bassinet! I looked at her and asked, "So he's fine?" :o)
